Great evening meal, the restaurant oozes charm and tradition. Evidently a Cardiff institution. Dined with a large group and service was good. Novel offer of fish, meat and vegetables on display and you order what you fancy. Great choice and good to see local seasonal ingredients. Fantastic wine list. Midweek not too many people, can imagine and what I hear can get busy that would make the atmosphere fantastic.
Superb. Worthy of 1 maybe 2 Mitchelin stars. Oysters were amazing and not expensive. Scallop portion a bit small but the lobster was a class apart. In my top 10 restaurants ever.
Had an amazing lunch - service and food is absolutely flawless. The staff also go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We had Swordfish which was amazing and at two courses for £32 such good value. Independently family run business and always has such a great atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back. The best!
Absolutely a 5-star experience. Service efficient and professional. Beautiful space. Exceptional food. One of the best meals we’ve had in recent memory. And it’s not at all overpriced considering the quality (and the huge portions!)
