Absolutely amazing and well kept castle. You can do the house tour and see the inside rooms of the castle. Astonishing piece of history and well maintained building absolutely totally worth having look! About £30 per adult entry and only a fiver to enjoy a guided tour of the living areas. You can walk through and ontop of the walls it's a very lengthy walk but very much worth it for the experience.
Very beautiful castle. Some gorgeous walls and ceilings. Best room is the 'Arab room' although you are not allowed in, only to peer in through the doorway and take photos. Was £13 for a student, would've been £18 regular admission.
This was a super cool spit to visit. Completely caught me off guard. Was expecting a medival castle, which it was, but Completely redone. Very over the top, but beautiful. Tunnels were super cool. We didn't take the tour and I wish we did.
Visiting Cardiff Castle was a fantastic experience! The entire grounds are so nice and beautiful, blending centuries of history right in the heart of the city. The contrast between the ancient Roman walls, the medieval Keep, and the lavish, opulent Victorian Gothic apartments is incredible to see. Walking around the grounds is lovely, and climbing to the top of the Keep offers fantastic views across Cardiff. It’s well-maintained, full of fascinating history, and visually stunning throughout. A must-visit attraction if you are in the area!
We went to Cardiff Castle for the Blackbird festival this weekend just gone. Really lovely grounds, staff were great, portaloos were kept clean, there were plenty of food trucks and 2 large bars and free water stations were available due to the hot weather. This experience for us was a really great one. We would happily come back to see a show here. Very small criticism is that there were not many spots for shade but, the high temperatures we’ve had this last week are a bit of an anomaly and I’m sure the rest of the year the grounds are beautiful to sit/stand in.
