Riverside home of Welsh rugby union, plus football, speedway & concerts, with daily tours.via Google

The national rugby stadium's roof is the largest retractable roof in Europe, and on a Six Nations Saturday the closed roof turns the crowd noise into something physical.

Visited here to attend the Take That concert. The venue is well signposted and the security outside was well organised, quick and the staff were friendly. It’s a 15 minute journey if using the park & ride by Asda. The venue itself is very clean with plenty of signage for the seating areas. The toilets are plentiful and spotless. Eateries were OK but the prices a little inflated as you’d expect. The atmosphere was very good and the seats themselves comfortable compared to other stadiums.

I recently competed in HYROX at the Principality Stadium, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely world-class — spacious, well-organised, and perfectly set up to handle a large-scale fitness event like this. The atmosphere inside the stadium was electric. The crowd support really pushed you through the toughest parts of the race, and the layout made it easy for spectators to follow along and stay engaged. Everything ran smoothly, from registration to the race flow, which made a huge difference on such a physically demanding day. The facilities were excellent too — clean, accessible, and well signposted, which helped reduce any pre-race stress. Competing in such an iconic stadium made the whole experience feel even more special and memorable. Overall, an amazing venue for HYROX. I’d absolutely love to compete here again!

Amazing concert and venue, Glad we went to the Cardiff show instead of London. Having the roof closed made a massive difference, as it made it feel like a smaller arena gig. The sound system was great as well.

Came here to see Metallica at the Snakepit. One of the best days of my life. The personnel at the stadium was very friendly and it was very easy to navigate around the venue. Great stadium and very thoughtful to have toilets right outside, which is something other stadiums don’t do.

This must be one of the greatest rugby stadiums in the world for its atmosphere and hospitality. The Welsh people are absolutely beautiful thank you for hosting us. The online ticketing makes entry so much easier than normal. That huge roof that closes when it’s raining or cold makes for some of the greatest audio visuals on the ears. Blown away, we will be back next year.
