Been going for years and food is always good. Today the portions let the chippy down, they state Gravy and Chips (L) for £5 and don’t even offer a medium. When I questioned the portion and asked isn’t it meant to be Large like advertised I was told it’s one size. Now to say this portion was equivalent to a kids portion is bang on, I wasn’t going to say anything but when I returned home my wife said what I was thinking in the chippy. To serve this portion of chips and gravy for £5 is shameful tbh. The chicken for £5 to be fair was decent and tasty but the portion size over all was shocking. I don’t get to this chippy very often because I live a fair bit away but thought I’d pop there this evening and I’m sorry but won’t be returning after today. When you spend £10 on Gravy and Chips (Large) and chicken breast you expect to be full but wasn’t even close. Now when you read this review check your menu and it states Gravy and Chips (L) for £5 so I’m bang on to feel the way I do, as for people you’re nice and friendly but you let yourself down with this small order.

Food took ages despite being the only person in the shop. Got home and the food was terrible. Large fish was large but was so overcooked it tasted of nothing but rubber. Super soggy batter and whilst I like a bit of salt this was next level, also the skin was left on the cod - first time I’ve had that - 2 small and one large fish and chips set us back £38. Cash only just topped it off.

Tried this place about 3 months ago and struggling to find a decent chippy in Cardiff I went back here as it's was OK. This time wow soooo bad. Ordered a large fish he charged me for a small because it was a small piece, put it this way I've had bigger sardines. Was basically just a portion of batter with a 3mm thick piece of fish in it, the batter was so thick it was raw inside and resembled more a doughnut. The chips where all tiny little scrappy bits and tasted like they'd been cooked the night before, curry sauce was good but at £16 for fish and chips and chips with curry, wouldn't pay £5 for it was absolutely vile. The search for a decent chippy continues.

Wow! Just wow. If you want a mouthful of fish but enough chips to sink the titanic, then this is your place to go! £7.50 for a small square shaped chunk of fish in batter (and the skin, yuck). Shockingly over priced!

Nice place. The fish was very nice. The chips and mushy peas were okay. Price is reasonable. Staff are friendly.
